The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago – Detroit Branch is part of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. serve as the nation’s central bank, the Federal Reserve System. Their role is to foster a strong economy and a stable financial system.
Please join us for this APCD sponsored educational lunch-hour event as The Detroit Branch welcomes us to tour the Federal Reserve!
The group tour provides an exclusive chance to watch the Cash department in action; sorting currency and preparing to disburse it to area banks. Then, take a peek into one of the largest automated vaults in the Federal Reserve System and learn all about the functions and responsibilities of The Fed.
The tour begins at 12:15 sharp and is approx. 30 minutes long. Stay and enjoy lunch afterwards in the Atrium overlooking the Detroit skyline or grab it to go. More details following your RSVP re. Security check-in process.
